I received a bachelors degree from Brigham Young University where I double majored in Secondary Education (emphasis in English Language Arts) and in Spanish Studies. While studying at the university, I taught Spanish online as part of the universitys independent study program. After graduation, I taught seventh grade English for one year. I absolutely loved teaching, but left to be able to move to Chicago with my husband. Now, as my husband is attending the University of Chicago Law School, I hope to reach as many students as possible through tutoring. I believe that every student is unique and therefore deserves individual instruction. If I see that a lesson is not helping a student succeed, I immediately adapt that lesson. I am willing to put in all the work that is necessary for the benefit of the student. That being said, I also believe that a student has a responsibility to put in their best effort as well. Although I do love teaching English and Spanish, there are many other things I love to do. In my free time I enjoy reading, singing, playing the piano, ballroom dancing, Zumba, trying new foods, traveling, and watching movies with my husband and cat.
