About Me

I began tutoring as a big sister tutoring her little brother in math, English, and Spanish. Throughout high school, I TA'd Hebrew, Jewish American History, and Torah studies at Sunday school. I spent every summer working at summer camps, where I helped teach science and art history. In college, I tutored French and American Politics. I believe that teaching material to others is the best way to learn. So, for me, tutoring has always been intrinsically entwined with my own studies and thirst for knowledge. As a tutor, I try to pass on my philosophy of study and passion for knowledge to my students. Learning can be fun and engaging, and I hope to show students how!

I believe that the best way to learn materials is to teach them to another person. So, I like to have my students explain concepts and ideas to me as though they were the teacher. I also believe that understanding the underlying pattern or story of the subject I'm teaching is as important as understanding the subject itself.
