About Me

I am a recent graduate of Bridgewater State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a concentration in pure mathematics. I am pursuing my PhD and my career goal is to be a math professor. As an undergraduate, I worked as a math tutor for a wide variety of courses. I also worked as a teachers assistant for precalculus readiness, and precalculus courses. I absolutely love working with students in math. I have such a passion for the subject which translates in my tutoring. When a student is willing to put in effort and wants to learn, together we can accomplish a great deal. I attempt to tutor in a way that will lead my students to be more independent learners. My teaching method is two-fold. I provide well thought out explanations of concepts and work to solve problems with my students. Secondly, I present them with ways to learn and find out information in a way that they will be able to use when i'm not there. For example, I teach my students how to read math books so they can get the most out of it, and really learn the material through the process. Some of my personal interests include cooking and reading, especially science fiction novels. I also love learning new mathematics. Currently I am working my way through a graph theory book and am learning more probability and statistics through Khan Academy.
