About Me

Hello there! Teaching is my passion. I have been teaching in one capacity or another all of my adult life. I currently teach high school ELL and enjoy my job and students very much. I aspire every day to help my students reach their goals and to become successful in all of their pursuits. I am hard working, patient, kind, and very knowledgeable of the subjects I teach and tutor. My goal as your tutor is simple; to help and assist you in anyway possible so that you feel successful and confident. Together we can achieve the goals and objectives you are striving to accomplish. I approach teaching and learning in a flexible and creative way! Believe it or not learning should be great fun! I am a mother to two college students, ( a 21 year old son and an 18 year old daughter), and the owner of a fabulous German Shorthair Pointer. I love keeping busy by working in my yard, reading a good book, walking my dog, exercising, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia and have a Master's Degree from Pittsburg State University. I have lived in the Kansas City area for over 25 years.
