- My preference is one on one tutoring because tutoring and mentoring go hand in hand.
About Me
I graduated from Notre Dame College in August 2015 with a Master???s Degree in Education (M.Ed.). I am currently studying to pass the state licensure exam to be certified as a Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist k-12. My experience includes private, group, and individualized tutoring. The goal is to make the subject material fun and, if possible, make it a game. This will build self- esteem and boost self-confidence. One must find and teach to the student???s learning style and find different way to differentiate the subject (s) being taught. Always wrap up on a positive note and make sure you challenged the student for the next level. I was diagnosed with a learning disability in elementary school. English Language Arts was the biggest area of struggle for me, with some minor difficulty in math. I have learned to coexist with and overcome my disability. Because of my own struggles with learning, I know I can help students overcome their own academic downfalls.
