Originally from Toronto, I graduated from the University of Rochester in May 2015 with a B.S. in Neuroscience, a minor in French, and a minor in Music. I studied piano performance at the Eastman School of Music, volunteered as an EMT with the University of Rochester Medical Emergency Response Team, and spent a year on the Varsity Field Hockey Team. I also spent my time volunteering as a member of Delta Gamma for the Service for Sight Foundation. I was lucky enough to have spent a semester abroad in Paris, capitalizing on the availability of French pastries and museum access. After spending time as a Teaching Assistant for Biology and Organic Chemistry Lab in college, I discovered a passion for teaching. I am currently a full time Teaching Assistant for the Americorps- affiliated program Blue Engine, teaching Algebra I at an arts high school in the Bronx. I am planning on applying to medical school in the hopes of someday becoming a neurologist. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga, painting, and driving my bright orange motorcycle.
