I had an extensive amount of test prep experience as well - I studied the SAT prior to my college years, as my boarding high school, IMSA, required applicants to take the SAT to be admitted. In my experience tutoring, I have worked at a temporary ACT tutoring program over the summer of 2015. My tasks involved those of a teaching assistant: proctoring practice exams, answering individual's questions on problems they missed, and providing one-on-one mentoring for students to analyze the trends in their errors and give suggestions on key words or problem structures that improved their performances in later practice tests. Past students have commended me for my ability to explain concepts clearly and concisely while being patient and engaging at the same time. I find great fulfillment in helping build younger students to their full potential as it really is a two-way learning street.
