To understand first the student's "style of learning." Each individual has their unique way of obtaining information, whether visual or hands-on. This allows the connection to be established first, and that then provides the "bridge" for that knowledge transfer. How can you help a student become an independent learner? I would help a student define their optimal learning style, which they can then use to build and execute their personal learning roadmap. How would you help a student stay motivated?
