About Me

Teaching is something for which I have a great passion. Despite being a recent graduate, I have ten years of experience working with and teaching children. Being able to work with them one on one is some of the most rewarding and most enjoyable experiences I have had in my teaching experiences. Students will often need that extra help that they are not able to get in a school with a larger classroom. Making connections with the students is something I have done with success during my time leading classes at church as well as during my student teaching experience. This is an important aspect of teaching because gaining the trust and respect of your students goes a long way towards educational success. They need to know that you care about not only their education but their well being, too. Being able to receive one on one instruction can have a major benefit and provide improvements in all subject areas. It will boost confidence as they improve, and as this happens, their attitude and outlook will also improve. It is also helpful to have a new set of eyes and a new perspective for the student that is different from their current classroom or teacher. I will provide a positive experience for all students and help them to see learning can also be fun. My commitment is not only to improve their skills in various subjects but to also improve their confidence and desire for learning.
