Tutoring, in my opinion, is a collaborative process between student and tutor that aims to not only relay information but also helps in building free-flowing and independent learning skills in the student. This is because relaying information is, of course, a two way street and in that process the student learns the information that he/she wants to and the tutor finds out how best to incorporate information into the tutoring sessions. What is more important is to try to make tutoring sessions as lively as possible in order to keep the student interested in the subject matter. I do not just treat tutoring as a form of employment, but it is something I love to do. It is my way of giving back to the community what I have received from it. With that said, I vow to share my knowledge and influence my students as positively as I can.
