About Me

I am a graduate of The College of William and Mary. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in film studies and a minor in anthropology. My passion for literature brought me to New York--specifically to the New York publishing world, where I worked as an assistant to a literary agent for two years. It's probably become clear at this point that the subject I am most passionate about is writing. In college, I worked as a consultant at my school's Writing Resources Center, assisting students with their academic papers. In this position, I helped our clients improve the overall structure of their papers, strengthen their research, cite their sources, and correct their spelling and mechanics. I feel confident that I can address any paper problems you might have and make the writing process less intimidating. Aside from academic papers, I also write comedy sketches and spend most of my free time improvising and creating webseries with friends. Performing as a comedian may not seem connected to my educational philosophy, but I think many of the skills you learn as an improviser translate well to test taking. Staying calm under pressure and adjusting your strategy to meet new challenges are important whether you're onstage or in SAT prep mode!
