I have a BS in Geology from University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and a MS in Geophysics from Brown University. Having grown up in Puerto Rico, I am fluent in both conversational and academic Spanish. Over the past five years, I have taught a variety of physical science courses at the collegiate level to both pre-college, college, and advanced high school students from which I have cultivated a strong student-centered teaching philosophy based on responding to the needs of my students. While I tutor a variety of subjects, my favorite is Geology because it allows me to always be connected to what happens around me. In my spare time, I enjoy sewing, reading, running, swimming, and hiking. I love traveling the world any time I have the chance.
