About Me

I am a post-doctoral neuroscientist with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University at Albany in New York and my Bachelor's of Science is in Psychology and Biology from Western Oregon University. I have been mentoring and tutoring high school, undergraduate, and graduate students for over 10 years across a variety of scientific disciplines. I love all areas of biology and use chemistry and math on a daily basis with my job, while I also have a degree emphasis in studio art from my undergraduate institution, which provides me with a broad background of expertise. I also have extensive public speaking experience and have mentored several people in developing/refining this skill. Additionally, I have done considerable work in writing mentorship ranging from college application essays to manuscripts. I have edited all my undergraduate's medical and graduate school essays, and I'm very proud that all of them have been accepted into a program of their choosing.
