About Me

I am a graduate of St Cloud State University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition and New Media, working with both classical and modern music. While in school, I worked in the Music Department as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Rock and Roll History Class and volunteered at a Boys and Girls Club teaching piano. I also took classes in music education, even having field experience in an elementary music class room. Since graduating, I have worked with kids in after school workshops teaching simple computer programs. I tutor both math and music. Having an affinity for the logic of math, I use that to help understand, my favorite subject, music. Music is wonderful because it is quite varied but it all has the same basics. You can start with a few notes and build it up to a symphony. This step by step process is how I approach most things. Outside music, I play around with the visual arts, and probably watch too much TV, including both fantasy and science programs.
