About Me

I am passionate about applied science and believe that it is extremely beneficial for young students to learn this material with context, because without any context these subjects can seem like a waste of time and not worth the effort to learn. I enjoy physical activity, mostly through hiking, running, or playing soccer. I have gone on several long backpacking treks along the Pacific Crest Trail in the Sierras and around South Lake Tahoe. My biggest hiking trip was 180 miles along the John Muir Trail from Yosemite National Park to Bishop Pass over 10 days. I have two dogs, a beautiful wife, and a new baby girl.
