I am currently a PhD student in English at the University of Texas at Austin. I have an MA in English from The Catholic University of America, an MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin College, and a BA in Liberal Arts from St. John's College of Annapolis. I have 3 years of experience tutoring writing and 2 years of experience teaching English and writing in the college classroom. My favorite subject to tutor is Writing, but I also enjoy doing test prep -- tests can be a fun challenge for the student, and I love helping students to see it that way! I believe that any subject can be fun if you look at it in the right way. I am an English geek, in love with all aspects of language, and I've been told that my enthusiasm is infectious. My second love is the theatre, and I am active in the Austin theatre scene. I also enjoy playing the guitar, hiking, and playing soccer.
