About Me

I studied Wildlife Conservation Biology at UC Davis. I graduated from Cal State Long Beach where I earned my Master's degree in Biology where I studied bird flight physiology. I also worked as a teaching assistant at Cal State Long Beach and have taught Biostatistics and Human Physiology. I have a background teaching children at science camps, at an environmental non-profit, and at the therapeutic horseback riding center I currently volunteer at. I am passionate about biology because I am fascinated with how it describes the world around me. I also tutor general and AP statistics as well as Biostatistics for high school and college students. To me, I think it is very important to make sure that my students don't just do well on their homework, but that they truly understand the concepts they are working with. With every problem we cover, I try to go over related concepts and ways they might see the material on a test. In my free time I like to ride horses and I also do jiu jitsu. I also love the outdoors and enjoy camping and hiking as well. I love to travel and I have studied abroad in South Africa and Costa Rica and visited many other beautiful countries.
