About Me

I recently received two degrees from Wheaton College, a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in International Relations. Through my experiences, I have developed a love for education. I am currently a Middle School science teacher in the Kansas City area. I first began tutoring while I studied abroad in Thailand. I developed personalized English language programs for Thai graduate-level students. When I returned to the United States, I taught refugee fifth grade boys in all subjects for a year. I have tutored middle school and high school students in Geometry, Algebra, Writing, and Chemistry. And I have tutored college students in Biology. For tutoring, I create personalized study strategies based on a student’s strength and weaknesses. I work interactively to encourage independence and critical thinking. I believe that all students can attain academic success if equipped with the proper tools, work ethic, and self-knowledge.
