About Me

Over the past five years, I have been spreading the good news that math can be fun for middle school students while teaching at Aldine ISD and Houston ISD. I graduated Cum Laude from Western Oregon University in 2006 with a major in education and minors in math, science, Spanish and ESL. I have a valid Texas Standard Classroom Teacher certification for Mathematics grades 4-8. We all use math every day, so why not enjoy it! I also love social studies, English, literature, and Spanish. In addition, I studied the culture, history and language of Mexico in Puebla, Mexico. I grew up without a "hometown" since my father was in the Air Force. I raised my three children in Denver, NC, where we lived 25 years. After graduation from W Oregon U, I moved from Oregon to Houston to be near my grandchildren. I enjoy listening to mysteries on CD while I drive, do household chores, sew, quilt, and garden.
