I am currently working of obtaining my next achievement in life which is getting through Medical School. My favorite subjects are Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Hence I teach both French and Spanish at all pre-university levels.I have taught both French and Spanish at Middle and High Schools in the U.S., and I currently teach Spanish in a High School in Texas.Even though I teach Spanish currently and I am very fluent in both French and Spanish, my preferred subject to tech is French because it was the first foreign language I learned.I came to the U.S. from Spain and did my graduate studies at Purdue University, where I got my Doctorate in Tourism Management.I would say that my teaching style involves assessing the level of my student(s) initially, and trying to take them forward from where they are. It involves giving them opportunities to express themselves in the new language and explaining issues related to grammar and vocabulary.

My positive experiences involving Second Language Acquisition serve as my primary reason for continuing to promote the benefits that the Spanish language poses both culturally and linguistically for students. During those 9 years I also earned a Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment as well as a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. I recently left the classroom to take a position as a high school administrator at a Vocational and Technical high school, but still have a passion for the Spanish language and culture and hope to share that with you.

I graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota in 2008. After graduating, I lived abroad in Guatemala for over three years where I was a teacher and a columnist for a magazine. I have taught literature, English, Spanish, math, study skills (including designing a very successful study skills program), ACT test prep and leadership. Typically, students that I work with show immediate gains in their subject area. Students I work with will work hard--but we will also have a good time and laugh a lot as we work to meet your goals.When I'm not tutoring, you can usually find me exploring the Cities on my bike, playing sports or experimenting in the kitchen.
