I am a mathematics instructor at Tarrant County College and I am interested in helping math and engineering students achieve success!

I am a graduate of Stanford University and earned a bachelors in Biology. Since graduation, I have been volunteering my time tutoring with underserved populations throughout California and Pennsylvania. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Mathematics (all branches from Algebra to Calculus) and Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). As a high school student, I vividly remember preparing for the SAT and hope to use the tactics that I learned to help other students who may need improvement! I firmly believe in helping students and adapting to their individual needs and skill sets. In my spare time, I love to watch football and play sports with my friends. I also love playing board games and going on hikes!

I am a law student, but I took an unusual route to get there. I used to attend medical school but had a change of heart in my career path. Part of this was due to my political science major (double major with biology) in college as well as a number of Spanish and other courses that I took. Tutoring is something, I feel, that has come naturally to me, even back to my high school days. My goal is to help you learn as much as you can and reach your true potential. I am a rising senior at The University of North Texas in Denton. I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I was raised in an academically competitive environment in Fort Bend County and my rigorous secondary education prepared me for success in college. I am a fortunate member of the Terry Scholarship Foundation, which has provided me and hundreds of other Texans with a private, four-year, full-ride scholarship. As a Terry Scholar, I am well-versed in all subjects and have taken on the role of mentor to many of the incoming freshmen. I have spent most of my free time in college as a nanny and tutor to families around the DFW area. I have experience with all age groups and there is nothing that intimidates me! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, History, Spanish, and Government/Social Studies. Through my experiences helping struggling students and peers, I have realized the value of adaptability. Most people reach out to a tutor because the traditional classroom method is not best suited for their learning needs. There is nothing more joyful than when a student finally understands the material in a way that makes sense to them. Many times, students need flexibility and patience in order to grasp a foreign concept. I am a firm believer in the power of education and I hope to share my love of learning with all of my students. After graduation I plan on returning to Houston to obtain my Master of Arts in Teaching from Rice University. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing anything from poetry to screenplays. I'm in my final year of medical school and have an interest in specializing in Oncology. I did my undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a concentration in Pre-Professional Healthcare. I love to teach Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Pathology. My teaching style relies heavily on the use of visual aids to help my students understand concepts in a 3D plane! In my free time I like to partake in boxing, play tennis, basketball and read mystery fiction novels. I hope that I can assist you in your future academic needs!

Tutoring since high school, I have worked with students ages 11-22 (from middle school through college) in subjects as varied as math, organizational skills, PRAXIS prep, and of course, biochemistry! Additionally, I am well-versed in GRE, SAT, ACT, and AP exam coaching. Outside of the classroom, I have and continue to work in biochemical laboratories, play viola in an orchestra, and cross-country hike. As a student of pedagogy, I adapt to each student's unique needs to deliver hands-on approaches that use real world examples and provide mastery in comprehension. I believe that knowledge is power, but only in the application and advancement of knowledge can one find success.
