LSAT Tutoring review by Cyre in South Holland, IL
I quizzed the student on his Math Chapter 2 (publisher website has workbook pages that parents can download, I have the ones from chapter 2). I also tested him on his knowledge of -ar verbs -- not just what they mean, but their conjugations (I would give him a pronoun and a conjugated -ar verb, he would tell me what it meant in English).

LSAT Tutoring review by Jessica in South Holland, IL
The student and I worked on linear equations this week. She has a quiz today and a test on Friday, and I think she's very well-prepared. We spent most of the session going through a packet of review problems; she had a bit of trouble with some of the algebra at first, but as soon as we'd gotten past the first couple, she really knew what she was doing. We reviewed the basic concepts related to linear equations (slope, y-intercept, x-intercept, standard form, etc.) and then I had her describe to me the process of finding each of those things based on the information given. She seemed pretty confident in the material, so I think she'll do great on her quiz and test this week!

Second to last day.  We studied History for the student's final exam.  We created double column notes and used flashcards to help organize terms and people.  We also began looking at extra credit homework in math so she can focus on studying next time.

We went over the student's weak areas, especially math, and got a feel for the analogy questions. In the time in between sessions, the student worked on a few analogy and math practice sections that we then went over in the afternoon.

LSAT Tutoring review by Harrison in South Holland, IL
The student and I briefly went over a writing passage that involved altering sentences within the passage to make it flow better. We mostly spent the session going over numerous practice math problems, with the student taking a timed section and reviewing the questions he missed and/or had trouble with. He should be in good shape for the SAT within a few sessions.
