Jessica ...analytical writing to college students. I have a PhD in Comparative Literature and I've published essays, stories, and plays. I taught at the University of Notre Dame for nine years. I am happy to be tutoring now because it gives me the opportunity to have an impact on students' lives from an early age.... Every student is different. Their attention is different, their enthusiasms are different, and their learning is different. I try to understand each student on emotional as well as intellectual terms. I want to be in synch with them on every possible level so that my own approach is calibrated for the best possible outcome.

Samantha I am a recent law school graduate working at Northern Illinois University College of Law. ... I like to work through an example problem with a student and then have the student work through a similar problem on their own while they explain to me what steps they are taking to solve the problem. As students vocalize what they need to do at each step of the problem, they begin to internalize the steps so that the next time they come across a similar problem, they know what to do. I also like to encourage students to use the information they know. Even if they have never done the exact problem we are working on, have they ever done anything similar and what can they use from that previous experience to help them now? I want my students to get as far with a problem as they can on their own before I offer assistance to complete the problem.
