I am currently a 9th grade English Language Arts teacher. Prior to teaching, I attended Harvard College, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Secondary in Education Studies, and Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I completed my Master's in Education. Additionally, I have experience tutoring and mentoring students ages 6-14 at an afterschool program. I love spending my days exploring literature and writing with young people at school, and am excited to do so through tutoring, as well. Some of my favorite areas to explore with students include narrative writing, poetry, and the way literature can function as a way to achieve justice. I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I pursued a degree in sound engineering and recording technology with an emphasis in Pre-Med and Pre-Law. I plan on attending an institution where I can achieve a medical doctorate simultaneously with a degree in jurisdictional prudence.Five years at the UT has taught me how to take in complicated information, process it and teach it to fellow students. I have seen the look regarding subjects from an elementary level to a collegiate level.
