I am a native of Detroit, MI and I've always loved teaching others. I received my education at Oakland University where I am currently obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice. I have been a mentor and tutor since my high school years. Working with youth that are having issues reading and writing are especially rewarding to me as I struggled with reading at a young age myself. I completed my medical education in December 2014 and will receive my Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Degree from Ross University in March 2015. I have tutored multiple subjects from High School to Medical School. I tutor Psychology, Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Algebra, Geometry, among other subject. My favorite subject to tutor are in the science and math fields. I cater my tutoring style to each individual student. Every student is different and learn material differently so as a tutor I must find what works best to teach my students. I am a current junior at Rutgers University as a Presidential Scholar, majoring in Biomedical Engineering (BME). I graduated from Biotechnology High School in the Monmouth County Vocational School District, where I believe I learned all the fundamental study skills to carry me successfully through my following years to come. When I obtain my B.S. from Rutgers, I plan to go on and eventually get a Master's and Ph.D.My favorite and strongest subjects are math and the sciences. Because of my background in high school and major in college, I have plenty of experience with Calculus I through IV, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I love helping students in math and science and it gives me a sense of satisfaction to see other people succeed. As the eldest of three I've helped my younger siblings in their studies and primarily use examples and analogies that they can understand and relate to in order to help them.Besides math and science, a few other things I love are research in my lab, football, basketball, comic books (especially Spider-Man and the rest of Marvel), and mixed martial arts.

I first started tutoring students my second semester of college on the campus in the Spanish department. I also obtained tutoring from the French department where I learned many different techniques of tutoring. Thanks to the students I have tutored, I am now able to think of many new ways to teach students since everyone have a unique way of learning.Outside of tutoring I like to spend time with my friends, surrounding myself with great company and engage in adventurous activities.

I am a sophomore at Villanova University pursuing a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. I've been tutoring now for a total of five years starting in high school and continuing through college. In high school, I participated in an ENL program (English as a New Language) which sparked my love for tutoring. I went to an elementary school and help students (Grades K-6) with their homework in reading, math science, etc. I became close with many of the children and watched them grow as students and as people throughout my four years of being there. I wanted to continue tutoring in college which lead me to join a club at Villanova called RUIBAL. Through RUIBAL I was able to again help younger children with their homework, specifically with their reading. Through zoom, I would sit and read with the students, helping them with big words and understanding the story's main idea. While I can tutor in many subjects, I am drawn to the subjects of English (specifically reading comprehension)and Science and helping with test prep. I have also recently become EMT certified so I have fresh knowledge of the subject and how to pass the exam. Education is a major part of my life however, in my spare time I also enjoy traveling (especially to National Parks), skiing, and volleyball.
