I am a graduate of Georgia State University, earning my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology; I graduated summa cum laude and have earned multiple academic honors such as consistently being on the President's list during my time there. As for tutoring, I am passionate about helping students because I want to be a part of giving them the best possible chance they can get at succeeding in their academic careers and instill in them a desire to learn, which I believe will create many opportunities for them later in life. Through my experience tutoring at the elementary and high school levels in subjects like math, language arts, and SAT prep, I've developed a flexible and patient teaching style that encourages students to ask questions and stay engaged. Furthermore, I tailor each session to match the student's learning style and strive to create a welcoming space where they feel supported and motivated. I specialize mostly though in tutoring elementary math and language arts, as well as psychology and sociology, but I also feel comfortable tutoring in high school math and language arts too. Outside of academics, I enjoy engaging in choir work, which allows me to be artistic and creative.
