I have always been passionate about sharing the knowledge I've learned, a passion that motivates not only my academic endeavors and interests, but also my work as a tutor. As a recipient of a general AA from Clark College and a BA in history from Hillsdale College, and a current graduate student studying Russian history at Stanford University, I have long wanted to make the sharing of knowledge through teaching my profession. The academic areas I am interested in include history, music, literature, religion, and philosophy, but at present I am pursuing an MA in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies.
As the eldest of 6 homeschooled siblings and a volunteer grade school teacher, I have many years experience tutoring and working with students. I am capable of helping students study a variety of subjects, including history, literature, writing, test prep, mathematics, and social studies; out of these subjects, I am most excited to tutor students in writing, history and literature. Furthermore, I am comfortable tutoring in an online format, and can adapt to different learning styles and specific student preferences.
Outside of my academic and career endeavors, I enjoy cooking, reading, and listening to and making music.
