I received my Master of Science in astrophysics from the University of St. Andrews, and I also have 3 simultaneous Bachelor degrees from the University of Wyoming, one each in Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy, with a minor in Computer Science. During my undergraduate studies, I also worked as a tutor for math and physics, and received CRLA Level 2 certification as well as several years of experience with all levels of instruction in the university.
My general teaching philosophy is very interactive. I prefer to pose questions and discuss the answers that students give to ensure that not only do they know the rote procedure of whatever is being studied, but also the underlying patterns that constitute true learning in subjects like math and physics.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing games with friends, cooking, and occasionally knitting.
