Certified Tutor

I am an undergraduate pre-medical student at Northwestern University. I am currently pursuing my degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business Institutions. I also work as a TA (teaching assistant) and RA (resident assistant) within the university, so I have practiced many interpersonal skills necessary to be an efficient tutor. As a student in a top-ten ranked institution, I can provide insight and tips for how to best prepare for studies in college.

I will be patient and open-minded while tutoring as I realize it is important to acknowledge the diverse backgrounds and knowledge students may be approaching an academic problem. Currently, the courses I will be tutoring include SAT/ACT test prep, organic chemistry, general chemistry, and biology. My favorite course to teach is organic chemistry because the course requires a blend of memorization and practical reasoning which can be applied in numerous contexts outside of school. I also enjoy tutoring SAT/ACT sessions because I can provide valuable insights into test taking strategies that worked for me.
