Certified Tutor
I am a current PhD student in Hispanic Literatures and Cultures at Indiana University Bloomington, where I also teach Spanish to students as an associate instructor. I chose to pursue a doctorate in Spanish not only because of my love of the language, but also because I love teaching Spanish as much as I love studying it! I believe that anyone can learn a language, no matter their age or experience; all you need is a willingness to learn and to keep trying, even when you make mistakes. My goal as an instructor is to help students arrive at a point where they feel truly comfortable with Spanish, which means not only helping students understand the rules of the language but also how they might use it in their daily lives to communicate with others. As a language-learner myself, I've seen the ways that learning a second language can enrich your life, and I want to give my students the tools they need to experience places, people, and cultures they wouldn't have access to otherwise.
