Where did you get your education?

My name is Jake and I grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and attended Chaparral High School. I graduated in 2004 and then enrolled at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I transferred to Arizona State University in 2006 and I was able to obtain a bachelors degree from this prestigious university in the discipline of English.

In 2010, I returned to School at Rio Salado College and received a Post Baccalaureate degree in Special Education.

In 2023, I returned to school to obtain a Certificate in the field of IT Support. I passed the CompTIA ITF+ Test and received a few other certifications from Google.

I am currently working on a certificate in both Linux and Python.

I was a special education teacher from 2011 to 2019. I primarily provided support to students who had fallen behind in their coursework due to their disability.

I specialize in data driven success. I believe, the only way to truly master a topic is to determine a starting point, and build on what knowledge is already there, regardless of previously determined grades or abilities

Outside of Academia, I like a lot of different styles of music and enjoy attending live performances whenever possible. I am a big Arizona Diamondbacks fan and enjoy following them throughout the summer.
