Certified Tutor

Having attained my bachelors degree in history, I would now like to spend my time on a job that pertains to what I know, and love.

I plan on applying to grad schools in the following year, but until then I'd like to know more about pedagogy and historical representation. Tutoring seems like a perfect fit for this, although I'm aware I may be called on to teach more than just history.

I've worked in classrooms dealing with various subjects and learning with the students is a treat regardless of the content being taught. Getting to know a student, and creating a lesson plan to suit them is a rewarding challenge.

As an historian, I focused mainly on the Caribbean, but my college prided itself on teaching students the research and reading skills necessary to understand a concept quickly. I've understand the value of teaching oneself content thoroughly before teaching it to another.
