I am a licensed New York City teacher. My concentration is in Special Education 7th-12th grade, however, I am confident in my ability to help learners of all ages and backgrounds. I have ten years of experience in the Department of Education; initially working with adults on obtaining their GED (now TASC in NY State) diplomas. Teaching students over the age of 21 was not only deeply rewarding but opened me up to the various amount of conflicts that may arise with adult learners' schedule and responsibility. It gave me the opportunity to adapt to many different circumstances and continue to help adult learners to achieve their goal.

For the last year I've started working with High School students. There is so many different avenues to reach HS students through their interests and turn that into an avenue into grasping content in multiple fields of study within the HS curriculum.

Hobbies

I like to run and swim to stay in shape. I enjoy learning how to expand my cooking skills with my wife a bit and tool around with my guitar when I find time at the end of the day. Most of my hobbies now revolve around finding interesting literature to read to introduce or work into one of my ELA classrooms. On the weekends I play basketball if the weather permits and video games when it doesn't.
