I'm a graduate of Duke University, where I majored in both Biology and English, and minored in Chemistry. Since graduation, I've taught high school chemistry, working extensively with students with special needs, as well as tutored individual students in reading and math. While I tutor a wide range of subjects, I particularly love tutoring writing, helping develop a student's unique voice and style. I believe that education is the key to helping all individuals reach their goals and dreams. All students are different, and I believe it is my responsibility as a tutor to tailor my approach to serve an individual's unique learning needs-- making sure the lessons and interventions I provide are as clear, concise, and engaging as possible. Outside of academia, I love reading, running, live music, exploring places, trying out different cuisines of food, and watching teenage dramas (guilty pleasure: Teen Wolf).
