The FSA, or Florida Standards Assessments, are administered in grades 3-8 for both English Language Arts and Mathematics, with additional End-Of-Course (EOC) exams at the end of Algebra I, Geometry, and High School English (grades 9-10). The FSA took the place of the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) during the 2014-2015 school year. If your child needs a little help to reach their academic potential on these assessments, Varsity Tutors can connect you with a knowledgeable FSA tutor.
Here are some of the benefits of FSA tutoring:
- Access to an expert who can answer any questions asked in real time
- The ability to work in an environment free of commonplace classroom distractions
- Learn test-taking strategies with the FSA in mind
- Greater flexibility to concentrate on a student's unique needs
Every FSA test has its own format, including topics covered, number of questions, time available, and whether it's administered in a paper or computer-based format. Most of the tests are given over two testing sessions split between two days, though the math exams in grades 6-8 consist of three 60-minute sessions instead. A calculator is also provided for the math exams.
