Environmental Mythbusting: How To Really Save The World
Kari Byron
Mythbuster, Explorer, TV Host
About Kari Byron
For over a decade Kari Byron has been a strong presence in the world of reality-based science, travel, and adventure television. Best known as a host on Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters, Kari originally intended to be an artist but has made a career of handling poop, eating bugs, wiring explosives and scraping chicken guts off the ceiling, all in the name of scientific discovery and finding the truth. She currently hosts Crash Test World, and recently released her first book, Crash Test Girl, An Unlikely Experiment in Using the Scientific Method to Answer Life's Biggest Questions. An avid protector of the environment, she was thrilled to discover that thrift store shopping is one of the most effective forms of recycling.
About the class
We all want to do our part to protect the environment—but what if some of your best efforts aren’t helping much, or may even be hurting? Join Mythbusters’ Kari Byron for an interactive dissection of which environmentally “friendly” practices are little more than stories we’ve been told to make us feel better about our own pollution, and which simple and fun activities can make a world of difference to the world around us.
This StarCourse is no longer available.
But don’t fret… we have more classes to choose from!
