I am completely fluent (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension) in English and Spanish due to the incredible opportunity I had of living and studying overseas in Venezuela for most of my elementary school years.I have had much experience working with students all ages: tutoring for student athletes here at OSU, organizing and leading study groups for my high school peers as we prepared for our IB exams, working with high school freshmen in small groups in an algebra 1 recovery class, teaching Sunday school at the elementary school level...These hands on experiences coupled with the knowledge I have gleaned from my human development and education classes have equipped me to work with students of all ages. As a third generation teacher, a love for teaching runs through my veins. I believe the greatest ability of a teacher is to change the way a student sees the world. This is what I hope to offer through my classes. Additionally, I also enjoy the challenge of explaining a concept in a way that the students can easily grasp.Right from my junior year in college, I volunteered to mentor middle school and high school students in India. These students were from under-privileged and their struggles inspired me to do better for them. I continued my teaching journey through both my masters degrees as a Teaching Assistant and taught many subjects including: mathematics, programming, design thinking, statistics and even 3d printing.I also informally guide students through their university applications, provide inputs on their essays, and give them insights into how the admissions process works.I enjoy teaching physics and mechanical engineering concepts because it allows me to present some unique examples that inspire students' imagination.I received my undergrad degree in Mechanical Engineering in Hyderabad, India. My first Masters degree in Industrial and systems Engineering from Youngstown State University, Ohio. And my second Masters degree in Business Analytics from Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Ohio.

I am a recent graduate and current graduate student from Cornell University. I received my Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Biology and Society with a concentration in Health and Humanities and a minor in Nutritional Sciences. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health concentrating in Food Systems and Health. During my undergrad, I cofounded an organization called Cornell College and Career Readiness Initiative (CCRI). I am still actively involved in this program serving as a mentor and tutor for local high school students in SAT prep, high school English, Math and Science courses, and in college essay writing/admissions.Throughout my academic career, I have looked to tutoring services to give me the guidance and confidence needed to navigate my courses and perform well. I have learned that efforts are most successful if delivered in a way that people can understand. Everyone learns differently and for that reason, my goal is to establish a tutoring style that favors your learning style for overall success. I am a Psychology/Human Dimensions of Organizations Plan I Honors student at the University of Texas at Austin. While attending high school in Rye Brook, New York, I tutored middle and high school students in a variety of topics. I enjoy tutoring in all ELA subjects as well as psychology, Spanish, test prep, essay editing, and study strategies.

I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelors degree in Information Systems. I am passionate about Mathematics and have tutored students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, College Algebra, PreCalculus, Calculus 1, and have also helped high school students with their SAT Math Prep. I am proficient with DBMS, SQL, Python and VBA.

I completed my BSN at Columbia College of Nursing and have worked as a certified surgical tech prior to OR nursing positions. I also have held RN/manager roles in Infection Prevention and Clinical Education. I am passionate about education, and have served as a tutor, mentor and preceptor many times throughout my career in addition to my professional role as a clinical nurse educator. I am interested in tutoring using an individualized delivery method that best serves one's needs, understanding that how one learns varies uniquely with the learner.

I graduated from Manchester University in 2012 with a degree in Spanish and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I have taught various levels of language learners all over the world: elementary students in Spain, young adults in Taiwan, and adult ESL classes in the United States.I am also still a language student as I am teaching myself medically-based Spanish vocabulary.I understand learning a new language is difficult and requires a different style of instruction, which is why I utilize a lot of interactive activities, conversationally-based classes, and a lot of positive reinforcement.Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, science fiction movies and books, yoga, and spending time with my Philadelphia friends and family.

I currently a senior at the University of Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science and a minor in Math. During my time in college, I have tutored and taught underserved students in Computer Science whether they were prepping for the AP exam or first time coding. As humans get technologically more advanced, I am a firm believer in introducing Computer Science earlier in education. Computer Science can be used in almost every field out there. Although I have a plenty of experiences teaching Computer Science, I have also tutored students in STEM subjects, in particular math and physics.

I'm a writer and teacher who just moved back to New York from Colorado. I received my BA from Columbia in 2012 (I studied creative writing), and I graduated from the fiction MFA program at Colorado State University in 2015. I have three years experience teaching English at Colorado State University, where I created my own curricula for my composition courses and worked extensively with my students one-on-one. I have additional experience as a writing center tutor and an editor, the latter for the Columbia Spectator and the Colorado Review. Outside of the classroom I've received two fiction fellowships - one from the magazine "A Public Space" and the other from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA.I love teaching and tutoring students of all ages. I believe a good tutoring relationship starts with an understanding of the student and his or her goals. I know going in that anyone I work with will necessarily be an expert on something that I know little about, and I try to carry this knowledge into the tutoring environment: we must understand each other as equals working toward a shared objective. I am here to help people become better readers, writers, and test-takers because those are my particular areas of expertise, but a good tutoring relationship must be free of condescension. I believe students should enjoy the work, increase their comfort with the work via low-stakes assignments, and take breaks.
