Certified Tutor

My name is Ella, and I'm a neuroscience major at the University of Pittsburgh. I have an absolute passion for helping students succeed, and I've spent the last three years tutoring in a variety of subjects and circumstances. I work as a Chemistry tutor, I tutor both 1 on 1 and in group settings, and I have a history of volunteer tutoring for ACT/SAT test prep with high school students from underserved areas.

As a tutor, my primary goals are to both provide easy-to-understand academic instruction, but also to create a safe space where mistakes are nothing more than a part of the learning process. I want to emphasize that there is nothing shameful about material being hard, and that the effort you put in will always correlate to the results you get out. I would be thrilled to help in any way that I can!
