As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in Asian Studies from Bowdoin College, I have extensive tutoring experience across a diverse range of subjects, including AP English Language and Composition, AP World History, and college application essays. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong connections with students, allowing me to tailor lessons that resonate with their individual needs and learning styles.
The subject matter I find most joy in is guiding students through the college application process, especially when they finally craft the perfect personal statement. In addition to my tutoring work, I have taught English in Japan, which enriched my understanding of language acquisition and cultural nuances. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy going to dance classes and trying out new restaurants in my city. I am committed to fostering a supportive learning environment where all students can thrive!
