Certified Tutor
I am a meteorologist by training with a Bachelors degree in Meteorology and a Minor in Technical Mathematics from Plymouth State University and a Masters degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Utah. This field of study has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and Python programming.
At Plymouth State, I regularly assisted my classmates with difficulties in each of these subjects so we could all succeed together. This led to my professors recommending me to the school's tutoring office where I tutored professionally for a year and a half.
I have found tutoring to be a greatly rewarding line of work and I am very excited to help you achieve your academic and personal goals!
My areas of tutoring expertise are:
- Mathematics, especially algebra, trigonometry, and calculus (derivatives, integrals, multivariable calculus, and vector calculus, but not sequence and series)
- Physics, especially mechanics (subjects like motion, forces, rotation, and energy), fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics. However, I am not your guy if you need help with electricity and magnetism related topics.
- Python programming. I have been programming using Python for over 5 years and am comfortable tutoring the basics and happy to help with libraries such as Matplotlib and NumPy.
- Meteorology. Although I have the most experience tutoring math and physics, meteorology is my primary area of expertise and I would love to help students studying it.
