My heart has always been wrapped around student success, beginning as an overseas ELL teacher, then as a junior and senior high school English teacher, GED tutor, and most recently as an English Composition instructor at a community college. All together, I have more than 30 years of classroom and one-on-one instructional experience in the area of written communication.
It is my belief that neither age, gender, culture, language, nor prior education should be barriers to a learner's goals. With an environment that is designed for engagement, collaboration, and self-awareness, every student can be successful.
I earned my B.A. in English Education from Trinity International University and my M.S. in Technical & Professional Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
It is my honor to have a role in imparting communication skills that will impact my students' futures so significantly.

My perfect day "off" includes my husband, 13-year-old son, and our vintage trailer on the shores of one of the Great Lakes. I'll spend the day reading (or napping) while a crackling campfire keeps me cozy.
