As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from New Mexico State University, I bring a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to my tutoring in AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and U.S. Government & Politics. My 28 years working in Washington DC as a federal employee as a risk communicator and senior policy official in nuclear weapon health and safety have honed my ability to engage with the public and students effectively, fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment. I prioritize empathy and real-world relevance working as a public servant in my teaching, believing that understanding complex subjects requires open dialogue and practical examples. My goal is to inspire critical thinking and curiosity, ensuring that every student feels valued and motivated in their academic journey. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy discussing current events and exploring innovative ideas, which continuously enrich my teaching approach and help me connect with my students on a deeper level.
