As a dedicated educator with a PhD in Sociology, I have over 2 years of tutoring experience alongside more than 5 years of full time college-level teaching, three years of part time teaching in various academic settings, and four more years of training staff. My passion for teaching stems from the joy of helping students achieve their goals, particularly in preparing for the GRE and grasping complex concepts in statistics and sociology. I believe in a student-centered approach, tailoring my methods to meet individual learning needs while fostering an engaging and supportive environment. By utilizing scaffolding techniques, I guide students from foundational understanding to more advanced topics, ensuring they build confidence along the way. Outside of academia, I enjoy spending time with my young children, which enriches my perspective on education and learning.
