The goal of any teacher should be to help progress students' learning and prepare them for the next phases in their education and life. A passion for helping students in that way is what separates great teachers from the rest. Those great teachers are the ones that help pave the way for students' lives and ultimately are what bring students to want to become teachers themselves. As important as the content is, the effect teachers have on students cannot be measured. So truly, the goal of an educator is to help students not only progress academically but grow as a person and make sure they leave their classroom as someone who will help our society become a better one.
