Certified Tutor
I am currently pursuing a degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience with a strong focus on psychology, research, and human development. My passion for helping students stems from my own academic journey one filled with curiosity, struggle, and a deep desire to understand not just the material, but the why behind it. That's what I hope to offer my students: not just knowledge, but meaning.
I tutor science, English, and history each for a different reason that reflects what I value. Science connects us to the logic and structure of the world around us. English is the heart of communication, yet I find the way it's taught today often strips it of its soul it becomes robotic, overly technical, and misses the magic of language. I want students to fall in love with expression again, to write and read like their voice matters. And history? History is where my passion for justice comes alive. I don't just teach dates and names I teach the stories of resistance, resilience, and revolution. Understanding the past is how we build a better future.
My teaching style is collaborative, empathetic, and real. I don't believe in rigid lectures or info dumps I believe in conversation, critical thinking, and helping students see themselves in what they're learning. Whether we're breaking down a scientific concept, decoding a poem, or debating the ethics of a historical event, I aim to make it personal and purposeful. I want my students to not only do well I want them to care.
Outside of tutoring, I work as a barista (yes, I make a killer latte), and I spend a lot of time in nature hiking is one of the only things that fully immerses me. I'm also fascinated by language, mental health, and how people connect. I bring that same curiosity and emotional depth into my sessions, always meeting students where they are and helping them get to where they want to be.
