I am a native speaker from Colombia, South America. I worked there for 17 years as a Spanish teacher in Elementary and high school. I also had the opportunity to teach Educational theories of Pedagogy in college. I was the head of the Languages Department in a university. During that time, I went to the university of New York at New Paltz to take some classes and improve my English skills. When I went back to my native country I started English Immersion programs between Colombian students and schools in the USA. Then, I applied for a job as a Spanish teacher in the USA. I went to Blue Valley School District to teach Middle School and High School. I thought there for 20 years. At the moment I am teaching Spanish in High School at Lees Summit High School. I have been here for the last 4 years. I love to teach and grow with my students. There is nothing else I would do! I do what I am passionate about.
