Tamara: Greenburgh tutor
Certified Tutor
I graduated with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, with a concentration in Polymers and Fibers, from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Spring 2025. I'm currently continuing my studies at Georgia Tech, working toward a master's degree in the same field. For the past three years, I've served as a peer tutor there, helping fellow students build confidence and mastery in a variety of STEM subjects.
I am especially passionate about tutoring introductory calculus and physics courses. I believe that a strong grasp of the fundamentals is the key to success in any higher-level STEM course, and I take pride in helping students develop a solid foundation. My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into understandable pieces, encouraging problem-solving skills, and fostering a mindset of curiosity and resilience.
Outside of academics, I enjoy snowboarding, playing video games, and getting together with friends for board games, social deduction games, and tabletop RPGs. I also love traveling to nerd conventions whenever I get the chanceit's a great way to connect with others who share similar interests. These hobbies help me stay creative, think critically, and bring an extra layer of fun and energy to my tutoring sessions.
