When I was 3 years old, my father, a PhD student, taught me the alphabet using an unconventional approach - starting with visually simple letters like X and O. This method worked wonders and I was able to read complete sentences by the time I was 4. In high school, I discovered my own passion for tutoring when I developed comprehensive math notes for Cambridge A level exams that helped my friends transform their grades from Es to As.

My tutoring philosophy borrows from my father's on many points - identifying each student's unique learning style, which might not be the most conventional approach, and adapting my plan accordingly - just as my father did for me. I do my best to understand how my students natively approach problems and where they get confused, and start from there. I believe in building strong foundations before tackling advanced topics, and I emphasize conceptual understanding rather than mere memorization. This method has proven particularly effective for my science and medical students who need to apply knowledge in clinical scenarios.

With a Medical School degree and a Masters in Healthcare-related Data Science, I specialize in tutoring biology, mathematics, computer programming, and test preparation for SAT and medical entrance exams like the MCAT. My background provides me with both deep subject knowledge and an understanding of effective test-taking strategies that help students out in pacing themselves through stressful learning situations.

When not tutoring or working on Generative AI implementations for academic research, I enjoy songwriting, reading science fiction, and playing video games.
