Certified Tutor

I am a PhD student studying synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Connecticut. I have a history of tutoring and teaching organic chemistry classes and a passion for helping students understand how great a subject chemistry can be! I offer tutoring in a range of subjects including, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, college level General Chemistry, high school Chemistry, general study strategies, and general science. My teaching philosophy is to simplify complex subjects in order to bring a wider more diverse range of students into scientific fields. I prioritize active learning strategies using practice problems. In my history of tutoring organic chemistry, a number of my students improved multiple letter grades and some even went on to graduate school in chemistry.
