I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's in Special Education. I received my Masters degree from Ashland University in Literacy and my Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Miami University. I am passionate about finding proven strategies for students with learning differences providing explicit instruction in comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. I have experience teaching and tutoring in grades K-12 Reading and Math. I have co-taught Biology, Algebra, and English as well as Government and American History. I specialize in literacy skills applied to the all content areas to support mastery of content. I have provided 1:1 tutoring for ACT preparation.

I have 3 children and my youngest is headed to college this fall to major in Aerospace Engineering. I like to swim, bike, walk, and spend time with my grandchildren. I am a YMCA swim official and can often be found running the computer or timing system at local meets. When not doing these things, I will have a book or two with me for reading.
